The Longmont Buddhist Temple is affiliated with the Buddhist Churches of America. We offer Shin Buddhist Services as well as Buddhist education and other spiritual and community driven activities. We are open and welcoming of all cultures.

We are located on the northwest corner of Highway 287 and Pike Road in Longmont.   (click here for a map)

Our temple typically has Dharma services the first and third Sunday of every month, but check our calendar of events to be sure.

Typical Dharma Service Schedule

9:30-10:00 A.M. Choir Practice

9:30-10:00 A.M. Newcomer's and Not-So-Newcomer's Briefing

Joe DeNicholas, Minister's Assistant, or Carol GanSho O'Dowd, Head Minister, will provide a tour of our Main Shrine  & answer any questions about the meaning of objects in the shrine, practices in our services and how to engage in Shin Buddhism just as you are.

10:00-10:30 A.M.  Meditation Service

*Dharma school for children of all ages is offered downstairs at this time.

10:30-11:30 A.M.  Regular Service and Dharma Talk

11:30 A.M. -12:00 P.M.  Tea, snacks and conversation in the community room.

In addition to our Sunday Services, we occasionally offer classes on meditation and various topics in Buddhism, so please check the calendar of events regularly!
